Round up of the weekends fencing…
In what was an incredibly busy weekend, Wrexham Fencing Club was competing all over the country, across three age ranges in three different competitions.

Packwood Epée Cup
Starting the weekends fencing saw George Morris stay relatively local, competing at Packwood School. George again showed a fighting spirit, when, after a slow start, managed to finish not only with a gold medal in the Epee U12’s but also received the Packwood cup for being the overall winner of the competition. This is a great confidence boost for George who’s recent results have been very promising and again shows his hard work in training!
Veterans British Championships
George’s Dad, Peter was also in action this weekend traveling to Oxtall, Gloucester along with several other members of Wrexham Fencing Club including our very own Head Coach, Mike Norfolk.
The sabre competition was held on Friday finishing positions were Lynn Halley 20th, Michael Norfolk 36th and Peter Morris 37th. Foil was next on the Saturday, Lynn 19th, Mark 26th, Peter 44th and Paul 45th. The outright winner was Robert Kiss.
Sunday was the day of epee where we are awaiting the results.

Nottingham Open
We’re still waiting reports and results from this event, all we know is that someone from the club was there? No idea who at this point though!
