A very positive spirit was shown by the young fencers from Wrexham, Mold and Abergele when they competed at the BYC’s last weekend in Cardiff.

Saturday saw the our fencers in the foil at the age groups of under 16, 14 and 12. Both Josh and Jed from Mold and Abergele showed great experience and finished in 1st and 3rd place. Jack Davies moved past several opponents to finish a credible 7th. Which left the long awaited all Wrexham, all George final. A friendly but competitive final finishing with George Dolan taking gold and George Morris receiving silver.
Sunday brought sabre and epee, this finished with Josh and Ben Halley claiming bronze medals in sabre and in epee Keir receiving silver in u14 and George Morris u12 bringing back a gold medal. A big thank you to Dave Gregory for travelling to Cardiff to coach our fencers to medal glory.
